About Terra Maris

Our Story

Terra Maris was born from a desire to preserve the feeling of a place.

Not the obvious landmarks, but the moments in between — light falling across a quiet interior, the stillness of early morning, the texture of a city that feels both intimate and infinite. These are the fragments that shape how we remember where we've been, and who we were when we were there.

Terra Maris exists to translate those moments into objects that live with you.

We collaborate with emerging photographers around the world to produce limited-edition works that bring atmosphere, memory, and perspective into everyday spaces. Each piece is selected not for trend, but for permanence — images that reveal more the longer you live with them.

We believe art should feel personal, lived-in, and quietly transformative.

Terra Maris is not simply a collection of photographs. It is a study of place, presence, and the environments we choose to create around ourselves.

About the Founder

Terra Maris was founded by Amanda Rodante, a New York-based curator and creative director.

Her perspective was shaped through years spent moving between cities and continents, developing a sensitivity to how environments influence identity, emotion, and memory. Through her work across global organizations and her personal exploration of photography, design, and space, she developed a distinct curatorial point of view grounded in restraint, intentionality, and atmosphere.

Amanda founded Terra Maris to create a platform for photographers whose work evokes a sense of place — images that feel both deeply personal and universally understood.

Her approach is guided by a belief that art should not overpower a space, but deepen it. That the right image does not demand attention, but quietly transforms how a space is experienced.

Through Terra Maris, she curates works that become part of the environments people live within — pieces that endure, reveal, and belong.

Terra Maris

Latin for land and sea

It speaks to movement, distance, and the spaces in between — the places that shape us, and the ones we carry with us long after we leave.

Terra Maris exists to preserve those places.
